Inspired by old Hollywood glamour and the brand’s feminine design aesthetic, this Barbieâ mirrors the 1959 original look and is perfectly dolled up wearing a two-piece leopard-printout fit accented with signature red Dolly platform pumps and the classic red Bogart leather handbag with matching red gloves. Scarlet lipstick and a perfectly painted mani-pedi complete the look, which is finished with her hair set in retro waves. Never far from her accessories, she is surrounded by a selection of Charlotte Olympia’s most recognizable designs as well as the brand’s mascot, ‘Bruce’ the leopard, holding a Charlotte Olympia shopping tote.
The box also includes the iconic Kitty flats, Eve platform sandals, the transparent Pandora clutch box, the Banana bag, the Web logo fascinator, gold spider web earrings, ivory cat-eye sunglasses and a Charlotte Olympia shoe box complete with dust bag. This is a glamorous design for the adult collector.
The soft line capsule collection features Barbie Girl shoes nestled within pink Marabou feathers standing tall on a block Perspex heel and signature island platform. Pomeline is a peep-toe mesh sandal decorated with a pom-pom cluster of multicoloured Barbieâ shoes. Pretty in Pink Kitty flats are dressed up with retro sunglasses and pouty lips embroidered onto black and leopard print velvet uppers and are also available in Incy sizes for little girls. The collection also boasts two standout clutches including “Barbie Vanina”, an all-pink leather clutch box with a gold and hand-painted enamel Barbieâ logo clasp and “Barbie World”, a beautiful blush Perspex clutch box with magnetic miniature accessories imagined from Barbie’s fabulous dressing room.
Founder and Creative Director of Charlotte Olympia, Charlotte Olympia Dellal says “This was a childhood dream come true to collaborate with Barbie! It was a fantastic opportunity to be able to design and create a Charlotte Olympia aesthetic for one of the most iconic figures in the world.”
