Conrad Bali is located right on the Tanjung Benoa area of the island. Thanks to the recently opened bridge crossing through the sea, the Mandara Toll Road, it will now take you only 20 to 30 minutes to get there from the airport.
The area of Tanjung Benoa is locally known for its watersports activities with a lot of options to choose from. From the Conrad private beach you can sit back and relax whilst watching the spectacle of shoals of flying fish, banana rides, jet-skis or parasailing boats taking the tourists for a dose of adrenaline rush.
The famous balinese temples of Uluwatu are also only a short drive away from the resort.
About The Hotel
The Conrad Bali is one of the most popular spots in the area for wedding ceremonies and we understood why when we explored the resort during our stay. Built around perfectly manicured lawns, gardens populated by frangipani and tropical plants, water ponds and cascading waterfalls in abundance, the Conrad Bali proposes the perfect set-up for special events or relaxing holidays. It also offers memorable souvenir photo opportunities with such dramatic natural backdrops.
Water and fire are the two key elements characterizing the hotel. Wherever you walk within the resort, you are permanently surrounded by water and at night torches are lit all around the property to give it a totally different atmosphere and ambiance.
We stopped counting the number of pools of the resort when we reached 4, but the most impressive one is certainly the lagoon pool that runs uninterrupted from the East to the West wings of the hotel, boasting attractive sandy areas in places – probably one of the largest pools, if not the largest, we have ever seen until now…
With no less than 20 categories to choose from, Conrad Bali’s spacious rooms and suites are a mixture of sophisticated décor, infused with unique Balinese culture. Conrad Bali’s stylish accommodations are divided between the luxurious guest rooms of the main resort, and the secluded Conrad Suites located in an exclusive wing of the hotel offering a private pool, lounge and entrance. The Deluxe Lagoon room we occupied during our stay had direct access to the lagoon pool. From the bedroom terrace, just a few stairs would take you directly into the warm waters of the lagoon: an amazing facility for an early morning swim or a splash opportunity at any time of the day without having to leave your room!
While the main resort rooms are a good option for couples, the suites wing provides spacious accommodation for those travelling as a family or seeking more intimacy during their stay. The suites are spacious, with a large lounge area, a kitchen and dining area, separate bedroom and bathroom. The suites have access to their own swimming pool, separate from the rest of the resort, as well as to the Suites Lounge. The lounge offers complimentary afternoon tea followed by cocktails everyday as part of the room package benefits and which, we had the chance to experience during our stay.
Leisure and Entertainment Facilities
The hotel provides entertaining and educational activities for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you decide to spend lazy days lounging by infinity pools or learn how to sail, there are options available for all ages and all preferences.
Swimmers can enjoy the option of the lagoon pool running throughout the resort, the main rectangular shape pool – perfect to swim lengths – or even the beachfront with its quiet Indian Ocean waters.
The Conrad 350 meters long private beach is also your spot of choice for additional fun and leisure activities. Water sports like jet-skiing and kayaking, or hiring a banana boat for an afternoon’s water-born fun are available to the resort guests.
For the sport enthusiasts, daily beach volleyball and beach soccer matches are organized.
Children aged 3-12 can also have their fun and make new friends at the Kura Kura Club, which presents a fun-packed program of supervised activities such as cookie-making and treasure hunts. Children can learn about Bali life and culture with kite-making, dressing up in national costume and learning traditional dancing. A babysitting service is also available at this Bali family hotel.
Every morning, yoga sessions are organized on the Balinese gazebo floating on the lotus pond. The Wellness Center also offers a range of exercise therapies such as yoga, Pilates, meditation, and flexibility training as well as a gym for self-exercise with a range of cardio equipments, free weights and machines.
Conrad Bali also offers guests the opportunity to connect on a deeper, more authentic level with the ‘Island of the Gods’ and its inhabitants. Their exclusive cultural immersion and sourcing program is your entrée to the world of Bali’s famed artisans and to exciting soft adventure trekking, biking and running experiences.
We took advantage of our time at Conrad Bali to embark on an early morning bike trip with a guide from the hotel. Our journey took us along the beach of Nusa Duua, up to the local touristic spot, a rock cliff above the sea where waves break-up and blow the water high in the air. The perfect spot for souvenir pictures. Other bike excursions are available, giving you a good insight into the local life and an opportunity to discover local spots off the beaten track.
Amongst other cultural programs proposed by the hotel are Indonesian language lessons, a local village visit, or Balinese dance lessons and cooking demonstrations.
Complimentary access to Reflection Lounge is provided for guests who have an early arrival or late departure. There, guests can relax while waiting for their airport transfer, or for the check-in time, in a comfortable way with shower and changing room facilities, TV and sofas and even a pool table. Food can be ordered and delivered directly to the lounge too.

We experienced the Ocean Flow massage, the Conrad Balid spa signature massage experience. An aromatic massage with a personalized essential oil blend, combined with smooth strokes and firm acupressure, to imitate the movements of the waves. The massage sent us to sleep so quickly and so deeply that it took us a few minutes to come back to reality once it was over…
Honeymoon packages, facial and body treatments, organic therapies, pool massages and other treatments are available too in Jiwa Spa’s extensive menu.
EIGHT DEGREES SOUTH
This beach-front restaurant showcases your favorite cuts & seafood dishes with contemporary presentation. Each dish has been meticulously selected ensuring the cuisine matches the serene beauty of the setting… We enjoyed one of our lunches at EIGHT DEGREES SOUTH with a selection of fine products from the sea and from the land all beautifully presented. Facing the ocean, the restaurant is a perfect spot for a casual yet refined meal.
RIN begins with the best of traditional Japanese cuisine and offers a fresh interpretation by incorporating an international twist. From the menu you can choose from a carefully selected offering of entrées, soups and main dishes, all flagship of Japanese fine dining. You will also find at RIN a sushi and sashimi menu as well as a choice of yakitori, teppanyaki and teriyaki dishes, prepared the traditional Japanese way.
For our dinner at RIN, we opted for the Chill & Dine set menu, that we highly recommend. Built around a 4 dish set menu, the highlight of the evening was the Hot Stone Cooking, a unique and exciting dining concept. This very ancient & natural method of cooking used by the Egyptians, Vikings and many other civilizations is brought back to life at RIN for an interactive hot stone cooking dining experience. Served with salads and tapas, your choice of cut of meat or fish will be brought raw to the table, along with the hot stone, for you to season and cook as per your liking. A great Japanese dining experience.
RIN also serves breakfast for suites residents. Breakfast at RIN is refined, and quality is privileged over quantity. Though the theme of the breakfast matches with the Japanese heritage of the restaurant, we also found a selection of international food and eggs can be ordered as you like them from the menu along with a choice of local fruit juices freshly squeezed on demand.
