KM was delighted to review the essential deep cleansing facial at the newly opened Saadiyat Island branch of Tips and Toes. Boasting a full day spa service including 16 individual nail stations, massage rooms, Moroccan bath facilities, hair services, waxing and make-up services; the branch is conveniently located for both island locals and Abu Dhabi residents wishing to break away to the relaxing atmosphere of the island.
From the moment you step inside the door, one can recognise the familiar Tips and Toes relaxing ambiance with flickering candles, tranquil music, soothing smells and the signature purple, red and gold décor. The staff were wonderfully warm and welcoming and made one feel pampered from the very start.
The therapist starts with a few questions and for my facial we chose the sensitive option. The facial started with a lovely cleansing, purifying liquid that is gently massaged to replenish the face, neck and décolletage. Then the deep pore cleansing mask is applied while a steamer is placed overhead, allowing the rich minerals to penetrate deep into the skin. While the mask was working the therapist massages the head and shoulders. This was certainly my favorite part as the minutes seemed to fly by as the stress was gently massaged away. The mask was then removed and a rich moisturiser was added to the skin leaving it soft and radiant. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The radiance lasted a full week after the treatment.
