Final Day of BRIDE Abu Dhabi Concludes With Abaya Design Award

After an incredible four days, BRIDE Abu Dhabi came to a close, finishing with a bang of exhilarating catwalk shows, dazzling jewellery, beauty talks, more shopping than any bride could have dreamt for and to top it off the announcement of the Abaya Design Award.

Guests were wowed with further catwalk shows which included dreamlike wedding gowns from Mariage Fashion Design, stunning jewellery from Zayoon and eye catching jewellery crafted by the sublime La Marquise.

Closing the catwalk was the announcement of the winner of the challenging Abaya Design Competition which was awarded to the well-deserved and highly talented Leenaz Designs, who was chosen from a short list of 10 exceptional designers. First runner up went to Elegant Abaya, second runner-up was Awabid and the special People’s Choice Design Award was awarded to Dar Al Ibdaa. Open to all women in the UAE, the competition offered the perfect opportunity to showcase designer’s individualistic and modern twist on the famous local garb, the Abaya, judged by a panel of esteemed fashion and lifestyle experts, including Rosemin Manji, Farah Kreidieh and fashion designer Nada al jallaf.

The Bridal and Beauty Theatre saw women gathering to see how to master the famous Cara Delevinge Brows at home by London’s Chelsea Brows, hair tutorials from La Riche Spa and bridal make-up sessions from Lancome.

Those future brides that couldn’t make it to the capital should not be disappointed as BRIDE Dubai is just round the corner running from the 25th-29th March in the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
