Fluidity in Numbers: Art Exhibition Showcases Numerically Inspired Paintings At The Z Gallery

The Z Gallery is proud to present “Fluidity In Numbers” – an art exhibition by Robert Davidian at the Four Points by Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road.

The artist attempts to convey information and facts in the form of numbers and signs. In a way, numbers also have a hint of doublethink – they have clear values, and they could also be used for a range of manipulations. They are symbols, and also they could stand for ideas and concepts.

The idea was to focus on compositions that minimize straight lines and frantic activity, and instead rely on a language of numbers. Many of the pieces embody the definition of fluidity which is “smooth and graceful in a way that seems relaxed.” While the art is subtle, the impact is powerful. The paradoxical nature of the artwork compels the viewer to reflect on the pieces longer, allowing connections to form, emotional or spiritual.

Growing up in Lebanon, Liberia, Morocco and England, Robert Davidian was influenced by the diversity of the cultures where he lived and spent many hours in expressive, artistic pursuit. His avid interest in the multifaceted world of art drove him onwards to explore fashion, photography and broadcast media in Hamburg, Milan, Paris, Tokyo and LA.

Having never lost sight of his personal self-expression, Robert now has come full circle to the raw medium of art – combining his love for motion, digital and paint in his unique work on canvas, glass and sculpture.
