Give the 7th Pink Caravan Ride a Last Hurrah at ‘Pink Strides’ Abu Dhabi

The 7-kilometre walkathon for breast cancer awareness will inaugurate the campaign’s closing ceremony

Join hundreds of advocates and supporters of breast cancer, as they match strides for a noble cause at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City on Friday, 17 March. The walkathon will be the opening act for a special finale programme, which will draw the 7th Pink Caravan Ride’s 10-day pan-UAE breast cancer awareness campaign to a memorable close.

The 90-minute walk will be held from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. After the walk, participants will have the option to choose from a fantastic line-up of food trucks, present at the event, and buy themselves a sumptuous grub. To register, visit this link.

Over the past six years, more than 450 riders and 600 volunteers at the Pink Caravan Ride have travelled over 1,440 kilometres across the seven emirates, with 455 medical clinics. The clinics have offered free early breast cancer detection examinations for 41,391 people, including 8,526 men.

The Pink Caravan Ride has also visited 87 schools delivering educational sessions and lectures about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. It also attracted many volunteers — from all segments of society — who became ambassadors to represent the ride and promote it.

The seventh Pink Caravan Ride is being held under the slogan ‘7 Year For 7 Emirates’, and will travel across the UAE from 7 to 17 March.
