There’s nothing better than the opportunity to get together with a few good girlfriends to spend some quality time indulging. Be it for a birthday party, baby shower or just a Friday afternoon get-together. Glow Salon & Spa is the perfect girl-group venue. Having recently opened its doors under new management on Jumeirah Beach Road, the salon boasts a whole host of feel-good treatments: try their facial treatments using divine-smelling Guinot products; Swedish and deep-tissue massages; weight-loss packages; make-up; organic manicures and pedicures and even a hair salon.
Desperate to guarantee my feet are fit for display this spring, I was keen to try out Glow’s organic mani-pedi. Ushered upstairs to their light and airy nail room – while carefully avoiding their sweeping chandeliers on the way up the stairs – I was delighted to find two majestic massage chairs. What better way to spend an hour getting your nails done then being massaged from head to foot? My efficient therapists immediately got to work and promised that this treatment using only the finest organic ingredients would transform even the weakest, tattiest nails. Having thoroughly washed and dried my hands and feet, an organic scrub was used (Lavender for the hands and Lemongrass for the feet) to slough off dead skin cells. A rich moisturising cream using all natural ingredients was then liberally applied which left my feet and talons pink and glowing.
Choosing a nail polish from the rainbow of colours on offer was the next big decision, but with my therapist’s help, I found a perfect pink, which blended and matched the tone of my skin colour. A top-notch experience at affordable prices.
