About the exhibition:

The exhibition focuses on art as a form of holistic therapy that can assist in the healing process and bring a sense of balance to people suffering or recovering from an illness.

The Art4Health Exhibition will feature a series of coffee mornings, open to the public and hosted by reputable healthcare professionals to address the importance of stress management and discuss ways to find balance in our fast-paced, ever connected lives.

The exhibition consists of 26 works of art by internationally celebrated UK artist, Sharon White who herself recovered from serious illness through using her art as a form of therapy to bring her back to health.

The Tree of Life was created by women and families affected by breast cancer and some of the materials interwoven into the artwork, were donated by UK Celebrities from the BBC TV show Strictly Come Dancing’s Tess Daly, dancer Flavia Cacace, actress Denise Welch, and TV presenters Kirstie Allsopp and Lorraine Kelly.

The intricate 3D artwork is embellished with delicate butterflies made of lace, crystals and sequins that were created by women either receiving treatment or affected by breast cancer.  Some of the butterflies even contain personal messages and have been made in memory of a loved one.

The Art4Health exhibition will also feature ten new artworks in the ‘Higher Realm’ series that focuses on holistic, emotional and spiritual healing that can sometimes be overlooked when seeking recovery from illness.

The Art4Health Art Exhibition featuring UK Artist, Sharon White will run from the 8^th of October to the 2^nd of November at Al Badia Golf Club, Intercontinental, Dubai Festival City with gallery viewing from 10am until 10pm every day.
