Little More, the visually bright and welcoming café known to be a platform for aspiring local artists, announces today a special week long exhibition of Dubai based Welsh artist Karen Axworthy’s latest paintings’ collection titled ‘The Pieces.’ The exhibition runs from the 24th to the 28th of May in Little More, Dubai Marina Mall outlet. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet with the artist herself.
Art is the pulse of the community and the café showcases not only paintings but vibrant handicrafts as well. Acting as an exhibition gallery, Little More reaches out to the public in an inviting and intimate way. All art is available for purchase. Karen Axworthy, a self-taught artist, has been painting since she was old enough to lift a paintbrush. She believes that her early experiences have provided her with a natural fearlessness in adulthood, resulting in her creative use of paint, texture and color. Her eclectic range of paintings express her emotional responses to life and she feels that each painting created is a moment in time captured in a canvas, almost like a diary entry. Axworthy has a fascination with the ocean, and this can be seen in much of her work. The latest collection is based on nature and its elements, which is evident in most of the paintings’ names including Waves, Sunflower Passion and Blue Moon.
Little More Café, consistently supports the city’s budding talent and makes the perfect venue to host an exhibition of this caliber. Interweaving the art into the ambiance of the café creates a homely ambiance alluring families all week long.
