Marina Social Dubai Offers Delicious Dining Experience For European Cuisine Enthusiasts

Marina Social Dubai is equally a social club as well as a lounge style dining experience – one that we can’t get over and neither will you.

When you step inside Marina Social Dubai, you feel like you might have entered an Emirates First Class Travel Lounge. It is warm and yet cozy. Stepping outside the lift, it is only when you get to the reception at the end of a long corridor that the concept reveals itself. There is a bar for nights out and gates horizontal to it, beyond which, our review would be held as that is where the fine dining takes place.

KM was invited for an iftar preview and we got our chosen table right on time, as the restaurant follows a first come first served policy for table bookings, especially during Ramadan.

As we were seated, we took in the breathtaking view opposite of the Dubai Marina Yacht Club and the stunning residential skyscrapers. The atmosphere within the restaurant was comfortable and the interiors were all in black and grey, very contemporary and sleek. As we sat down, we were offered dates and a date drink to break our fast. Following the ritual, we were offered a basic balsamic Bruschetta with a few condiments and butter. It was delicious and a great starter, and unlike other Bruschetta, the one by Social Dubai was concept based and we could DIY our starter as and how we chose.

Following our itsy bites, we were presented with the main course of Mushroom Pizza and an Oregano Pea Risotto filled with Parmesan cheese. The Pizza was fairly standard in taste and presentation, but it was the Risotto that stood out as a fine dining dish. It was well presented and the parmesan cheese was neatly shaved and it tasted as fresh as it looked without being overfilling. The pea, the cheese, the riso and the delicious green oregano flavour worked well together to make the dish come alive.

For dessert, we ordered Chocolate mousse fondant with ice cream and a white Asparagus cheesecake. Both lived up to the presentation and the hype that the waiters gave them and we couldn’t have been more satisfied by having taken their recommendation. It was a cozy and a short lived moment that will remain as a long lasting memory.

Our verdict: Great interiors, outstanding ambience and a perfect fine dining place for a date night. We highly recommend it.
