Maurice Lacroix Launches New Fiaba Date In Time For Eid

Round Is Beautiful

A circular form has no beginning and no end. It is soft and gentle, free of sharp corners. Round shapes feel natural as if they have been honed by the elements. A circle can be inclusive and proffers cohesion.

The new Fiaba celebrates the beauty of the circular form with an attractive round case.

Grace & Glamour

Available in two case sizes, 28mm and 32mm, these new timepieces exhibit a notable air of femininity. Designed for ladies who appreciate grace and glamour, the Fiaba is available in a choice of case options accompanied with a matching metal bracelet.

A Water Drop

A water drop provides the inspiration for the beautiful dial canvas. A mother of pearl dial glistens and shimmers like the surface of a still lake beneath a captivating moon. But just as everything appears motionless, a drop of water lands on the surface and creates gentle ripples which emanate outwards. It is this romantic notion which provides the inspiration for the stunning dials of these new timepieces.

Each steel version of the Fiaba features this mother of pearl dial, delivering a sumptuous canvas on which to express time. Blued leaf shaped hands stylishly convey the time with notable clarity. A circular aperture, framed with a gleaming round border, reveals the date.

Diamond hour markers that appear to lightly kiss the surface of water cause a series of circles to emanate outwards. Where each circle meets its neighbouring counterpart, a line is formed which dances with light to spectacular effect.

Alternatively, the gold plated Fiaba incorporates a silver dial with a “water drop” guilloché pattern centre-stage. The hours are denoted with black Roman numerals against a silver coloured hour track. The gold plated hands match the case material and deliver an air of sophistication.

A Cohesive Design

Gracing the crown is a cabochon, a blue spinel. The blue shade is striking and augments the sense of luxury. Adorning the vertical flank of the crown, and visible through the transparent cabochon, the Maurice Lacroix logo can be seen. It appears to almost float as if weightless.

The Fiaba shows an extraordinary attention to detail and demonstrates thorough consideration to each element of its specification. Ultimately, the design of the Fiaba is cohesive and is the wonderful conclusion to a rounded approach to watch design.
