The Pre-Spring 2017 HALSTON HERITAGE collection embodies the juxtaposition of glamor and simplicity.
Inspired by the art and craftsmanship of Shibori indigo dyeing, the collection continues to evolve the laidback luxe mood. Casualwear is elevated through exaggerated detailing found within shirt and dress sleeves along with oversized shapes that are heightened with waist accentuating ties.
Relaxed and casual tailoring becomes easy with waistcoats and tunic length dresses worn over cropped ankle boot cut pants, while the signature shirtdress is updated with modern wrap details in airy fabrications. Powder metallic surfaces and faux leather trim details along with gleaming satin add a touch of glamor found throughout classic silhouettes, including slip,
cape and skin-baring dress for the evening.
The color palette is refreshingly cool and ranges from icy blues to deep indigos, while complimented with creams, metallic neutrals, and pops of dahlia perfect for dancing all night long. Indigo dying and bleaching is translated into our Reflection and Crocus Floral prints.
Drawing inspiration from original Halston designs like the Hobo, handbags are constructed with organic and supple shapes with the Cher and Tina as new key styles. Slouchy Hobo and crossbody bags, as well as small drawstrings, are transformed with pops of metallic, rich suede and buttery leathers that echo the relaxed glamor of ready-to-wear.
