“I’m thrilled to share the nail looks inspired by the runways and trends of Summer 2016. The looks are inspired by cuts of clothing like the open shoulder design, hardware & piping, and pattern & color. I had a thorough look at the trends in nails, makeup, hair, and fashion for the season and chose the most evident and inspiring trends. Inside you’ll find a variety of color palettes and designs – something for everyone to enjoy!” – Madeline Poole, Sally Hansen’s Global Color Ambassador
The Collection described are as follows:
The primary source of inspiration for this look came from the runway of Christopher Kane who adhered Ribbon strips to jeans and dressed in cross hatching and randomly placed fashion. Ribbons and neckties were seen on the ornate dresses at Oscar De La Renta, the geek chic collections of Gucci, and in a structural way at Ashley Williams.
Along with this trend in fashion we see a trend for random diagonal and overlapping stripes on nails. Again, this look incorporates negative space but with a few layers of the sheer shade Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure “Au Nature-al”#212for a flawless even finish.
