The Sun Siyam Resorts in the Maldives has relaunched its luxury cruiser, the MV Sunset Queen, after a comprehensive refurbishment, offering more spacious cabins and an even bigger Jacuzzi on the top deck!
The wooden-hulled Sunset Queen has a completely new, all air-conditioned interior, giving its salon and dining room a light-filled, airy ambience and, with cabins reduced from nine to seven, it can comfortably accommodate 15 guests.
At 27 metres, with four decks, the Sunset Queen is ideal for diving, surfing and snorkelling, or just relaxing on deck while cruising, watching the beautiful Maldives islands slip past.
Guests can charter the Sunset Queen for any number of days, although a diving or surfing trip typically runs for seven days/six nights. The PADI/SSI licensed dive guide on board will ensure they experience the Maldives’s world-famous dive sites, while surfers can enjoy the sought-after surfing island chains known as the ‘Honkeys’, ‘Sultans’ and ‘Jailbreaks’, with waves for every level of experience.
The Sunset Queen’s crew takes care of guests’ every wish, with dining and other services carried out by a professional team.
Familiar with the local waters, they will navigate guests through the beautiful reefs and channels of the Maldivian islands, stopping at deserted islands and remote sandbanks to sunbathe.
The Sunset Queen also visits inhabited islands for guests to tour villages, sampling the local way of life and, during the evening under the stars, hear Maldivian folklore while enjoying a BBQ dinner.
