Last week saw Swarovski make its Autumn Winter 2015/16 runway debut in Dubai, showcasing the Winter Gardens collection of fashion jewelry and accessories. With this versatile, on-trend collection that speaks to the needs of modern and multi-faceted women, Swarovski expressed its DNA and iconic touch of glamour and sparkle.
Swarovski invited the city’s social elite at the idyllic all-new beach lounge, Cove Beach.
Guests, including regional celebrities to mention a few, Yalda Golsharifi, Noha Elsherbiny, Ola Farahat, Manar Al Hinai as well as international bloggers with Hungary’s Festy from “Festy in Style”, Russia’s Eugenia of “Applebums”, Turkey’s Zehra Elif Tas, the Czech Republic’s “The Czech Chicks” Hana Drozdová and Veronika Franková, and Poland’s Tamara Gonzalez Perea, sipped cocktails before sitting down to enjoy the fashion show.
The beautiful models were glamorously styled with fashionable jewelry and accessories from the Winter Gardens collection and were all stunningly prepped by Shiseido makeup.
Vice President Adrian Meili, for Swarovski CEEMEA region, said “I am absolutely thrilled to be here tonight with you all to celebrate the launch of the Swarovski Fall Winter 15 collection, Winter Gardens. Swarovski strives to make the everyday extraordinary and to empower women with its creative and contemporary sparkling and glamorous designs. Let the show begin!”
Regional fashion influencer Yalda Golsharifi was delighted to attend the runway debut, saying “which girl doesn’t love Swarovski sparkles; it is part of the female regal elegance and persona.”
Enhanced by Swarovski’s signature, the Fall/Winter 2015-2016 “Winter Gardens” collection takes inspiration from nature and more precisely, from gardens. “Nature is an endless source of inspiration, and after celebrating flowers in our latest Spring Summer collection, we now take flora and fauna to an autumnal interpretation. I was inspired by textiles portraying an idealized nature such as the vintage tapestry of English manors, the dévoré velvets, as well as the ornamental lace which presents feminine, romantic accents. Through the design process, we turned them into modern jewels with historic hints”, says Creative Director Nathalie Colin. Foliage morphs into lace-like filigrees, insects and night butterflies transform into stylized pendants, in a palette of autumnal flowers and berry tones.
The collection features a generous offering of easy to wear designs ranging from the timeless to the fashionable and from the subtle to the bold, which ensures a piece to suit any occasion.
The Middle East is an important market for the brand, and as such, inviting regional and international influencers and producing a runway show for Swarovski’s esteemed guests was a natural fit.
“Today, being one of the world’s leading jewelry brands constantly looking for innovation and creativity, it totally made sense for Swarovski to host the glamorous launch of its Fall/Winter collection here in Dubai. Through our runway show, we trust the audience will appreciate how jewelry can transform a silhouette for everyday occasions,” said Frederic Berning, Managing Director Swarovski Middle East.
